Since Hills District Taekwondo began teaching Haidong Gumdo, we have hosted three Belt Exams for our members and each time our members have managed to outdo their previous performance. The grading was presided over by Master Sam and Grandmaster Jung Il Oh, who was once again impressed by everyone’s improvement and skill.
For the first time Paper Cutting was incorporated into the grading exam, but living up to their reputation, the Hills Haidong Gumdo class executed their technique flawlessly. Grandmaster Oh presented two trophies for the most improved since last grading. Ross Mackay was praised by Grandmaster Oh for his exceptional “National Gold Medal” paper cutting display, while Harry Lahood received the Most Improved Junior for his impressive level of focus.
